So I am a prairie girl through and through. Anyone who knows me finds this really obvious. You’d think I’d stick out like a sore thumb in Nova Scotia. Well, I’ve discovered that I just blend right in. The people are super friendly and fun just like Saskatchewan people and my time here so far has been amazing. The only thing I’m not liking are the hills and the rain. Not really the rain itself, but the fact that I am very unprepared for the rain. School is going great so far and I’m meeting so many different people from all over within my program.
I have to laugh about my fellow journalism students. We all had the same basic premise for applying and taking journalism as a career. We’re friendly, out-going, adventurous. We want to travel with our degrees, and we want to make a difference in the world. Now if anyone from my class reads this, they must admit that if they don’t fit all of these criteria, they fit at least 4 out of 5.
